My Mother & Father
Yes, we are an interracial blended family. My Mom is white & my Dad is black (multiracial).
My Mom & Dad met each other while working together at Old Navy in 2002.
Dad was my Mom's boss. They got married on February 6TH 2004.
One month later I was conceived. Mommy didn't find out she was pregnant until a month after that,
by then she was already 11 weeks pregnant.
Mommy said she
made a deal with Daddy that they could get pregnant whenever he wanted them to,
but whenever Mommy got pregnant that she would quit her job and be a stay-at-home wife/mother.
As soon as she took the test and it came out positive, she quickly drove up to her job and turned in her two weeks.
Since I am Mommy's first child, she wants to relish and document
every little thing that I do. She says she doesn't want to miss a thing!
Family is the most important thing to Mommy, so not working isn't a big deal to her. Dad on the other hand would rather work, he is just that way- always have and always will be.
He doesn't mind being the provider. He knows that this is mommy's dream. She has always secretly wanted to be a mommy, it just took having me for her to realize that this is her passion, what she has wanted to do with her life all this time.
